Sonos’ Play:1 multi-room speaker has had its price slashed for Amazon Prime Day
If you’ve ever been in the market for a multi-room speaker, you’ll have heard of the brand. Sonos, a manufacturer that has perfected the formula, has a variety of connected speakers on the market. One of its most popular to date is the Play:1, a comparatively inexpensive speaker that bridges the gap between style and quality.

The cylindrical-shaped speaker released back in 2013 at £169 but is still among one of the most sought-after wireless speakers on the market. It’s seen a few price drops over the years and hovers at around £149; this year, however, during Amazon’s Prime Day bonanza, the Sonos Play:1 is the cheapest it’s ever been.
The elegant speaker can be yours for just £124, a cool saving on a fantastic bit of kit. What do you get for £124? An exhilarating speaker that looks as good as it sounds. The Play:1 is able to communicate with the rest of Sonos’ ecosystem; if you were looking for a dinky speaker for the kitchen and were looking to extend music from your Sonos Playbar that resides in the living room, this is what you’ll want.
To facilitate this, the speaker connects over Wi-Fi to your home network and can also be connected through an Ethernet cable. Sonically, these are fitted with a 3.5in mid-range driver and a tweeter, which combine to deliver an exquisite sound throughout the frequency range. Despite its relatively small form factor, the speaker will fill a room.
