Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 sees HUGE price drop in Prime Day deal

Selling at an average of £727 since its launch, the 8GB version of the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is now available for just £529 as part of a superb Prime Day deal. One of our favourite budget laptops, we usually favour the 4GB configuration of the Surface Laptop Go 2 as it has solid tech specs, while being available for a hard to beat price of £529, giving it the edge over the higher end versions.
However, with the top-of-the-line 8GB version now hovering just £50 above the RRP of the base model, you can now get all the much touted value of the Surface Laptop Go 2 and a much beefier machine to boot. Along with 8GB of RAM, this version of the Surface Laptop Go 2 boasts a 256GB SSD for internal storage, as well as an 11th-gen Intel i5 processor.
However, it should be noted that since this deal is part of the Prime Early Access Sale, or Prime Day 2.0 as we like to call it, the savings will only be available to Amazon Prime members. Thankfully, Amazon offers a generous 30-day free trial of the service which allows you to gain access to top-tier sale prices as well as test out all the benefits of membership.
We’ve been fans of the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 since our original review, where the laptop scored five stars as well as our coveted Best Buy award. In that review, we praised the Microsoft Surface Laptop for its excellent design: the laptop is lightweight, compact and portable without feeling cheap or weightless, while also generally appearing well-finished and sleekly put together.
Beyond surface concerns, the Go 2 is well specced out internally, with even the 4GB version being singled out for topping everything else at its ~£500 price point. Its 12.4in touchscreen display is bright and sharp, while still being a joy to use for navigation and everyday tasks. Filling out its range of impressive qualities are the laptop’s speakers, which deliver 20% louder sound than the previous model, without suffering any noticeable distortion.
If you’re looking for a super portable machine that excels in many areas, and does generally well across the board, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything better than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 – and that’s at its regular price. With this staggering discount taken into account, this is one of the must-buy deals of the autumn Prime Day event.
