Amazon’s Cyber Monday Dyson V8 Absolute deal definitely doesn’t suck

Clean up with style after that inevitable messy Xmas party

Cleaning up after a Xmas party can take all the joy out of the festive season, but if you’re equipped with a good vacuum cleaner then things might not be so arduous. As part of its Cyber Monday discount bonanza, Amazon has cut £101 off the price of the Dyson V8 Absolute cordless vacuum cleaner.

Now available for £293, the Dyson V8 Absolute is a compact 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner, able to transform from a hand-held vacuum into a full-sized cleaner in a mere click. This means it can be used for cleaning all manner of surfaces, hard and soft, as well as being used to suck up stuff like dog hair on car seats or clean the steps of stairs.

As it’s rather lightweight and has an ergonomic build, you can use it to clean those hard to reach areas, such a corner of a ceiling where a spider has set up shop to avoid the outside cold of the winter months. There’s also a ‘crevice tool’ to help you clean around those hard to access areas, such as edges of skirting boards and narrow gaps between fittings and fixtures.

Given this is a Dyson, the V8 Absolute is completely bagless, and uses the company’s no-touch bin emptying to allow for sucked-up dirt to be emptied out without the need to get your fingers near it.

The V8 Absolute also gets its name from the V8 Dyson digital motor, which Dyson claims offers “the most powerful suction of any cordless vacuum” when in its ‘Max’ mode. The digital motor is combined with Dyson’s two-tier Radial cyclone system to deliver a vacuum cleaner with 15 cyclones designed for picking up microscopic dirt.

The digital motor will last up to 40 minutes and is then recharged using a docking station that can be wall-mounted to help tidy away the vacuum cleaner.

So if you’re after a powerful and compact vacuum cleaner then Amazon’s Cyber Monday deal on the Dyson V8 Absolute certainly doesn’t suck.
