Amazon has cut the price of the Ring Video Doorbell 3 for Black Friday and Cyber Monday
This cracking Ring Video Doorbell 3 deal has taken us unawares by continuing beyond the end of Black Friday and into Cyber Monday. It’s now £60 cheaper on Amazon over Black Friday, down from £179 to £119. There’s nothing complicated here: just a seriously low price on a great video doorbell.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3, like its predecessors, offers a way to see who’s at your door whether or not they actually ring the bell. It comes with motion detection and will automatically record clips on anyone who approaches your home.
In our review of the Ring Video Doorbell Pro, which shares many of the same features of the Ring Video Doorbell 3, we praised its crisp and simple to use detection, with clips recorded at 1080p HD video.
“Once installed, setup is easy. Download and register on the Ring app and you’re away, with notifications instantly popping up on your phone whenever anyone is at the door.
“From the app, you can view the livestream of your front door at any time you choose, but unless you’re terminally short of things to do, most people will only check in […] when somebody presses the doorbell – when that happens, the app will bring up a crisp 1080p video of the area in front of your door (in night vision, if it’s dark) where you can either press the green button to connect and talk to your visitor, or the red one to hang up.”
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 also comes with a range of features to adjust its motion detection area, so you can make sure you’re not being bombarded with unnecessary notifications if you happen to live by a busy street. If you have an Amazon Alexa, you can also pair it with the doorbell to announce when someone is at the door.
It’s worth noting that the deal price on Amazon doesn’t include professional installation. The retailer claims the Ring Video Doorbell 3 is easy to install, but if you want to pay someone else to install it that will set you back a further £110 on Amazon.
