If you’re an audiophile – and especially one that cares about blocking out the sounds of the outside world – you’ll be familiar with the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones. The sound quality is great, but what really sets them apart is the noise cancellation which is best in class. That’s why the QC35 sits comfortably at the top of our best wireless headphones list.
Unfortunately, this kind of quality comes at a price, and that price is typically over £300 which is undeniably expensive. The RRP is £329.99, but right now at Currys and Amazon, you can get these wireless wonders for £260.10.
Weirdly exact price, isn’t it? The reason for that is because with Currys, the cost is actually £289.99, but when you add the code ‘BOSE10’ you get 10% off, bringing the price down to £260.10. Amazon price matched the discount, meaning it too comes up with the unlikely final figure.
What does give Currys the edge here is that you get nine free months’ of Deezer when you buy. That seems to be one part of the offer that Amazon can’t match.
You may not want or need that if all your playlists are in Spotify or Apple Music, but I can personally vouch for the QC35 IIs, having owned a set for the past six months. I never viewed myself as the kind of person who would pay over £50 for headphones (and technically I’m still not, as I got them as a preorder bonus with the Huawei P20 Pro), but it really is a world of difference, and I’m not sure I could ever go back. The battery life is great, Google Assistant is built in and – as the name suggests – they’re both extremely comfortable and provide superb noise cancellation.
