These Huawei Watch 2 and phone bundle deals are incredible value

Buy a selected phone and get a Huawei Watch 2 for £80

If you visit our best smartwatches list, you’ll find the Huawei Watch 2 sits proudly under the subheading ‘packed with tech’. It’s a very fitting description: if you’re after a Wear OS smartwatch, this is about as good as it gets. It was prohibitively expensive though, costing £329 when we reviewed it last year.

For Black Friday, the Huawei Watch 2 has already been substantially reduced. You can buy the Bluetooth version for £149.99 or the 4G-enabled version for £179.99 at Amazon, but the real bargains come if you’re in the market for a new smartphone and fancy a Huawei handset.

Argos is selling the Huawei Watch 2 for £80 when bought with certain Huawei handsets. The cheapest of these is the Huawei P Smart, which goes for £149.95 on its own, or £219.94 with the Watch 2. Given the Watch 2 started out at £329 on its own, that’s pretty remarkable.

The P Smart is undoubtedly a budget phone, though – albeit a very good one. If you want something more luxurious, the P20 Pro is also included in the offer. With the Watch 2, the bundle comes to £699.94: pretty amazing when the phone alone has an RRP of £799. I can personally vouch for it too: it’s the handset I use when I’m not reviewing others, having been sold on the incredible camera. The almost-as-good P20 is also available in the deal for £469.94 which is pretty good too.

But perhaps the sweet spot is the P20 Lite, which for some reason isn’t listed on the main deal page but works with the offer. Add both the phone and the watch to your trolley, and the total comes to £299.94, which makes for a really fantastic deal.

To close, here’s a reminder of why the Huawei Watch 2 is so good, taken from Jon’s review. “The battery life is good, I like the look of both variants, and it’s packed with all the sensors you could possibly need.”

He closes: “The only fly in the ointment is the price. At £329 for the non-4G sports version, £379 for the 4G sports watch and £409 for the classic, it is a little pricey for a smartwatch.”

Now that problem is taken care off, it’s a great time to buy.
