1. Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones (was £270, now £218)
The Sony WH-1000XM3 ended Bose’s long stint as our favourite noise-cancelling headphones when they came along last year. Not only do they have highly effective noise-cancelling that adapts automatically to your surroundings but they’re also the best sounding active noise-cancelling headphones you can buy right now. At a current price of £230 from Amazon, they’re an absolute steal.
2. Beats Solo 3 on-ear headphones (was £140, now £120)
The Beats Solo 3 were the first proper headphones produced under the Beats brand after Apple bought the company and they’re still a great product. Battery life is impressive, pairing with Apple products is seamless (although they do work almost as well with Android phones) and the best news is that they’re currently at the lowest price they’ve ever been, at £120 down from £140 previously and an original launch price of £250.
3. Bowers & Wilkins PX5 (was £269, now £219)
We haven’t had the chance to listen to the Bowers & Wilkins PX5 yet but we have listened to their bigger brothers the PX7 and we’ve been impressed so far both with the sound quality and the calibre of active noise cancelling. We have to say, too, that this is an impressive deal on such a new model. Move fast.
4. Creative Outlier Air true wireless headphones (was £75, now £60)
We liked the Creative Outlier Air so much when we reviewed them that we made them our Value Headphones of the year 2019. They’re true wireless headphones that sound as good as they look, plus they’re now even better value than when we gave them an award. If you’re after a pair of reasonably priced in-ear headphones, look no further.
6. OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 (was £99, now £56.74)
We think OnePlus’ latest dual-driver wireless earphones sound great at the original £99 price but at £56.74 they’re an absolute steal. Don’t forget to set your location to the UK and currency to GBP in the menus at the top to see the price in ££s.
7. Beats Studio3 noise-cancelling headphones (was £300, now £179)
With seamless Bluetooth pairing and a long-lasting battery, the Beats Studio3 is a great set of headphones – particularly if you have an Apple phone. Amazon is now offering them for £179, which is £20 cheaper than on Black Friday.
8. Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 (was £350, now £299)
Bose’s 700 series headphones are the company’s follow up to the incredibly successful QuietComfort 35 II (see below) and they up the game for comfort, noise cancelling and style. They’re now at their lowest ever price, with £50 off the list price.
9. Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) Wireless Headphones (was £279, now £198)
In our full review of the QC35 Series II headphones, we had many positive things to say about these high-end, high-calibre, noise-cancelling headphones – although at the time we did point at that many of its rivals were cheaper. That’s now changed as Argos has slashed the price, bringing the cost down to a penny shy of £200. If you’re willing to spend in this category, give these headphones serious consideration.

The Nuraphone are among the most innovative and unusual headphones we’ve ever come across – and some of the best sounding, too. Combining the passive isolation of in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation and automatic personalisation, they’re amazing things and there’s a good chunk off them right now, too.
11. Sennheiser Momentum Free Special Edition (was £180, now £70)
These Sennheiser in-ear headphones have been reduced to below £100 before but they’re at their lowest price ever right now, with a stonking £110 off the original list price. Definitely worth a look if you care about sound quality but want something a little more discreet than a hulking pair of over-ear headphones.
12. RHA TrueConnect (was £150, now £100)
The RHA TrueConnect are the best sounding true wireless headphones we’ve tested and they’re available at a significant discount, reduced from £150 to a very tempting £100 for the pair.
13. Creative Outlier One Plus (was £45, now £36)
Save a cool £17 on this pair of sweat-proof wireless running headphones from Creative, now just £36. A pair of 6mm Neodymium drivers help give the sound a real boost.
14. Audio-Technica ATH-M40X headphones (was £84.79, now £69)
One of the best sets of headphones in its price bracket, the Audio-Technica ATH-M40X is now even more affordable.
15. Sony WH-XB900N (was £200, now £130)
If your budget can’t quite stretch to the superlative Sony WH-1000XM3 the WHXB900N are a cheaper option. They’re comfy and have noise cancelling like the XM3 but can’t quite match the sound quality or the feature. Still, at £130 they’re a very good buy.

Save on these sporty Powerbeats 3 headphones thanks to a whopping 42% discount. Coming in at just under £100, this deal is perfect for anyone looking to play some tunes while pounding the treadmill or maybe a bit of Radio 4 on the elliptical.
