Laptops Direct is running a tempting deal that sees the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro selling for just £149. That’s £70 below the usual price of £219.
It’s often the case that major products like this are discounted by the same amount across multiple retailers over the Black Friday period. The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for £149 is a stand-out deal, however, because other major outlets are selling them for £189.
You’ll have to accept the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the Graphite shade if you want to take Laptops Direct up on this deal. If you really want the Purple or White models, however, they’re going for £159, which is still a meaty discount.
We rated the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro highly in our four-star review, calling them “Samsung’s best true wireless earbuds yet”. They improve upon the already excellent sound quality and noise cancelling performance of the original Buds Pro, while retaining a smart and comfortable IPX7-rated design.
They’re right on the leading edge technologically speaking, with the likes of Bluetooth 5.3 present and accounted for. We found that the battery was good for up to five hours of use if you’re using ANC, or around eight hours without noise cancellation active. The charging case can extend that to 13 and 18 hours respectively.
Also notable is support for 360 Audio with head tracking, provided you use them with a Samsung smartphone. Indeed, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro really come into their own when paired with a Samsung device, with support for Samsung’s own Seamless Hi-Fi Codec, which is capable of 24-bit audio streaming from Samsung devices running One UI 4.0 or higher.
