It wouldn’t be Black Friday without Amazon heavily discounting its entire range of own-brand devices. From tablets and smart speakers to Audible subscriptions, no stone has been left unturned in the Black Friday sales this year, and that list includes the best-value media streamer yet, the Fire TV Stick Lite.
Usually priced at £30, Amazon’s dirt-cheap Fire TV Stick Lite is now only £15 for a limited time. That’s the cheapest it’s ever been, representing a substantial 50% discount. If you were hoping to turn your ‘dumb’ TV into something ‘smart’ in the Black Friday sales, it really doesn’t get any better than this.
In our review, we called Amazon’s affordable media streaming dongle: “the most complete streamer package you can get” and while it only supports a maximum streaming resolution of 1080p, it’s basically unbeatable for the price. And it supports pretty much every video-streaming app under the sun, including Amazon Prime Video (obviously), Disney Plus, BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
The streaming discounts don’t stop there, either. If you’re willing to spend a little bit more (£5), you might also want to consider the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote at a reduced price of just £20. This adds Amazon’s digital assistant into the mix, pairing nicely with other Amazon smart devices in your home.
If you’re after 4K streaming, then the appropriately named Fire TV Stick 4K is your best bet. Also currently running at a 50% discount, Amazon’s 4K streamer currently costs just £25 and also comes with an Alexa Voice Remote. Finally, there’s the Fire TV Stick 4K Max at a reduced price of £37, which adds Wi-Fi 6 capabilities.
