A rare price chop for the five-star Apple AirPods Pro 2 this Black Friday
The Apple AirPods Pro 2 just hit their cheapest ever price on Amazon thanks to the Black Friday sales. The noise-cancelling earbuds are now down to £229, down from an average retail price of £239 and an RRP of £249.
We are big proponents of the AirPods Pro 2, awarding them five stars and our Best Buy award in our full-length Apple AirPods Pro 2 review. In particular, we were impressed by their ultra effective noise cancellation and Adaptive Transparency feature, which reduces the intensity of ambient noise if it hits above a certain level. In fact, our Head of Reviews Jonathan Bray was so impressed by the AirPods Pro 2’s ANC that he dubbed them “the most effective noise-cancelling headphones I’ve ever used – and by quite some distance.”
Another big plus is their comfortability factor: finished with silicone tips, they offer an extra degree of noise isolation, and there are now four sizes of tips in the box so you can pick the size that best fits you. You can also now adjust volume by sliding your finger up or down the protruding stem of the earbud.
The AirPods Pro 2 are powered by the H2 chipset which facilitates the aforementioned Adaptive Transparency as well as noise cancellation that is, to use Apple’s own words, “2x” better.
And the perennially disorganised will breathe a sigh of relief to hear that battery life has been improved, with up to six hours of ANC-enabled listening time per charge (a 1hr 30min improvement of their younger siblings, the original AirPods Pro). Plus, you can use your Apple Watch to charge the case.
