Amazon sale: Save on Fire HD 8 tablet ahead of Black Friday
Amazon has cut down the price of its excellent budget tablet
You can currently save 25% on the price of a Fire HD 8 tablet, costing you just under £60 as part of Amazon’s impromptu, pre-Black Friday autumn sale.
The tablet will normally set you back £80, but Amazon is offering it for a reduced price alongside a raft of other devices, including the Echo Dot and Kindle Paperwhite.
The £60 price will nab you a Fire HD 8 tablet with 16GB of storage. You can also opt for the 32GB model, which has also seen its price reduced – down from £100 to £80.
In our five-star review of the Fire HD 8, we praised its simplicity and integrated Alexa features: “Amazon’s tablets may not be the last word in power or luxury, but they do the job for a low price, and make great gifts for kids. It helps, too, that Amazon continues to improve the tablets year on year.
“There are the usual caveats about the availability of apps on the Fire OS app store, the general lack of performance and the poor quality of the rear camera, but there are no other tablets that offer as much as the Amazon Fire HD 8 for so little.”
