The Amazon Spring Deal Days sale is the retail giant’s longest spring sale to date, running from Tuesday 10 March until Monday 16 March. I’ve been digging through the pile of offers to find the best phone deals going right now, and immediately, one bargain stood out from the crowd: the OnePlus 15.
This was already one of my favourite phones that you can buy, due to a dynamite combination of exquisite performance, unrivalled stamina and cut-throat pricing, but this Amazon Spring Sale deal takes things one step further, cutting the top-tier OnePlus 15 down to its lowest price on record.
The 512GB OnePlus 15 previously averaged £931 (over the past 90 days) but this offer sees the price drop down to just £829.
Why should I buy the OnePlus 15?
The OnePlus 15 is so appealing because it offers up a gorgeous array of flagship-level hardware while undercutting the competition by several hundreds of pounds. The processor, for instance, is the top-of-the-line 4.6GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which delivered some of the fastest speeds we’ve seen from any phone, even surpassing the notoriously powerful (and more expensive) iPhone 17 Pro Max in the multi-core CPU test.
Even more impressive, however, is the battery life. The OnePlus 15 was one of the first phones to hit UK shelves with a silicon-carbon battery, allowing for higher capacity without requiring far more physical space. The 7,300mAh cell here blew the rest of our phone catalogue out of the water in our battery test, lasting for 45hrs 12mins – by far the best result we’ve ever seen.
Backing up this outstanding hardware is a gorgeous 6.78in 165Hz AMOLED display, which demonstrated exceptional brightness and colour accuracy in our testing, and a solid camera suite. Shots captured in good lighting are sharp and beautifully coloured, and night photos retain fantastic amounts of detail and effectively brighten the scene, while still keeping that moody “night” feel to photos.
What could the OnePlus 15 do better?
Zoom photography is mostly decent, too, delivering punchy and detailed images up to around 30x, but the closer you get to the 120x zoom limit, the more artificial smudging you’ll see as the AI engine tries to counter the oversharpening. Some rivals perform much better with these far-reaching zoom shots, particularly the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Honor Magic 8 Pro.
Another key area in which the OnePlus 15 is behind its rivals is the software support. OnePlus has pledged four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the 15, which is decent enough for most people’s needs, but not the best you can get; Samsung, Google and Honor all offer seven years apiece for their flagship phones.
Is this deal worth it?
If you’re looking to snatch up a new smartphone in the sales, I would strongly consider steering towards the OnePlus 15 before forking out more on another flagship. Performance, battery life, display quality and the cameras are all very good – class-leading, in many cases – and this discount gets you the massive 512GB of storage for its lowest price yet.
