I analyse Prime Day TV deals for a living, and this offer on the Samsung S84F OLED really stands out

It may not be Samsung’s flagship OLED, but the S84F looks like incredible value at this Prime Day price

One of the arguments against OLED televisions is that they typically cost more than their Mini LED counterparts. There’s truth in this, but we’re seeing the emergence of affordable OLED options, and with this Prime Day TV deal, you’re getting a well-specified model from a leading manufacturer for very reasonable money.

The television in question is the Samsung S84F; the cheaper sibling of two of our favourite TVs from 2025, the flagship Samsung S95F and the mid-range Samsung S90F. While the S84F makes a few concessions to those pricier models, most notably where brightness is concerned, it shares some of the same Samsung tech, and, here’s the best bit, you can pick up the 55in model from Amazon for just £683.

That’s over £250 cheaper than the TV has averaged on the retail giant’s site over the last 180 days. It also makes it the cheapest OLED TV I’ve seen in my Prime Day TV deals hunt so far.

So, what does £683 of Samsung telly get you these days? A darn sight more than what it got me when I paid a similar amount for the Samsung Q80T several years ago! But seriously, the package here is impressive.

OLED performance at a cuthroat price

You’re getting a WOLED screen, which means perfect black and infinite contrast, making this TV a particularly strong performer in dark rooms or when watching content at night. You’re also getting smart upscaling courtesy of Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor, support for HDR10+ Adaptive, an AI mode to automatically adjust settings based on the viewing conditions in your room, support for frame rates of up to 120Hz, and gaming features, including the Samsung Game Hub and Game Bar.

The 2.0-channel audio system isn’t as advanced as that found on the S90F or S95F, but it does support Dolby Atmos as well as Q-Symphony, meaning it can work in conjunction with compatible Samsung soundbars to deliver a more immersive sonic experience.

Samsung’s Tizen OS is another big draw, and one of the key reasons the manufacturer was named Most Recommended by customers in our TV Brand Awards last September. App provision is plentiful, navigation is simple, and SmartThings is on hand to look after all your smart home needs.

If I didn’t already own an OLED TV and was on a relatively tight budget, the Samsung S84F would be a frontrunner for me. It represents fantastic value, and although the performance won’t be as punchy as Samsung’s pricier models, it’ll still be a massive upgrade for owners of older tellies.

You don’t have long to snap up this offer

As this offer on the Samsung S84F is part of Amazon’s Prime Day event, you’ll need to be a Prime subscriber to take advantage of it. But that needn’t cost you a penny, as the retail giant offers a 30-day free trial of the service to those who haven’t been subscribed to it for more than a year. Just be aware, Prime Day ends at midnight on Friday, 26 June, at which point I expect the price of this TV to rise sharply again.

If the S84F doesn’t tickle your pickle, you can find more television discounts on our Prime Day TV deals hub. We’ve also got hubs listing the best Prime Day offers on coffee machines, smartphones and laptops, and you can find our pick of the best deals across every category on our main Prime Day page.
