Use your contract or pay-as-you-go credit in five more countries with Three's Feet At Home deal

Three adds five more countries to its Feel At Home deal that lets customers use their existing plan abroad

Heading on a booze cruise to France or climbing a mountain in Switzerland? You can now roam for free on Three after the network added five more countries to its Feel At Home deal.

Already available in 11 other countries including the USA, Australia and Italy, Three has now added France, Switzerland, Israel, Finland and Norway to its list of free roaming nations.

Feel At Home kicks when a Three customer arrives in any of the 16 participating countries. The deal means that both pay monthly and pay-as-you-go customers can use their UK plan without paying an extra penny.

The service has been available in 11 locations since 2013: the USA, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Macau, Australia, Italy, Austria, Hong Kong, Sweden, Denmark and the Republic of Ireland.

The addition of France, Switzerland, Israel, Finland and Norway takes the total to 16. Tethering is not included and calls and texts to non-UK numbers are still charged at standard roaming rates.

Pay-as-you-go customers will need to get an add-on to use the service. If customers go beyond their plan then reduced roaming rates will apply.

"Roaming charges are a rip-off and Three is tackling the issue head-on. We haven't just reduced charges; we've now scrapped them in 16 destinations, making it fairer, easier and more enjoyable to use your phone abroad," said Dave Dyson, chief executive at Three.
