This Google Nest Hub deal is worth a look
John Lewis is selling the Nest Hub for half price over Black Friday
The price of the Google Nest Hub has been slashed from £119 to £59, with John Lewis offering the smart home hub for half price over the Black Friday period.
The Nest Hub works as a digital photo frame and as a screen-based personal assistant, doubling as a voice-controlled hub for any smart home appliances you may have. When we originally reviewed it, back when it was branded the Google Home Hub, we dubbed it Google’s answer to the Amazon Echo Show.
“Bar a few small gripes with the way its software works – it seems impossible to clear recipes and videos you’re finished with manually, for example – my overall experience with the Home Hub has been overwhelmingly positive,” wrote our head of reviews Jonathan Bray.
“It achieves everything it sets out to do, which is to make it easier to interact with Google Assistant and to control all your smart devices from one place. […] It’s impossible not to recommend it as our pick of Google’s Home speakers.”
John Lewis is also offering a smaller reduction on the Nest Hub Max, down from £219 to £189. This device does much the same thing as the Nest Hub, but with a larger screen and the inclusion of a camera. “The Google Nest Hub Max takes everything that was great about the Home Hub and makes it a little bigger,” wrote contributing editor Alan Martin in his five-star review.
