This Pixel 6 deal is incredible

The Black Friday Pixel 6 deal we've been waiting for

We were wrong. We thought we’d found the best Pixel 6 deal of Black Friday over at Vodafone last week, but it turns out another, far better deal was waiting in the wings. The moment we proclaimed the Vodafone deal the best we’d seen so far, out it stepped, as if to intentionally mock us.

Rather than sit here pouting, however, we’re going to tell you all about it. Right now at iD Mobile, you can nab the brand-new Google Pixel 6 (128GB) on a 24-month contract for just £27/mth with a £19 upfront fee – all you need to do is use the code iDM10OFF at checkout.

That brings the grand two-year total to £677, which is a mere £77 more than the cost of the Pixel 6 itself. Oh, and did we mention the iD Mobile contract in question has unlimited 4G and 5G data? Seriously, why are you still reading?

You might be wondering what makes the Pixel 6 so special. Our Senior Editor Nathan Spendelow described it as “the smartest and best-value Pixel yet” in his full-length review; the Pixel 6 received a perfect score from us, earning five stars and a Best Buy award. We loved almost everything about the Pixel 6: from the camera and display to the processors beneath the hood, the latest Google phone is a smash hit.

Let’s talk specs for a second. The Pixel 6 has a proprietary Google Tensor chip at the helm, backed by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The display is a 6.4in AMOLED affair that refreshes at 90Hz and has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 (known as FHD+). On the rear, you’ll find a large camera strip hiding two cameras: a main 50MP snapper and a secondary 12MP ultrawide lens. The 8MP selfie camera is hidden in a small hole-punch notch.

With the best camera in the business, the cleanest, most intuitive version of Android and a gorgeous screen, the Pixel 6 is undoubtedly the king of Android smartphones. Our only complaint – besides the polarising rear camera strip – was that the battery life is less impressive than its peers, although at 18hrs and 34mins it’s still more than good enough for most.

Provided you aren’t wedded to your iPhone, we recommend the Pixel 6 (and Pixel 6 Pro) for just about anyone looking for the best Android phone to buy – although even staunch Apple fanatics ought to think twice. This contract from iD Mobile simply makes it an even easier recommendation.
